Engage for Good at the BestCities Global Forum

At this year's Global Forum we collectively will be raising funds for Solas Project. You will earn points by engaging prior, during and after the event and the more points we accumulate as a group the more funds will go towards Solas Project.

We will also be recognising the most engaged participant during Global Forum, so let's all engage for good!

Solas Project

Through Engage for Good we will be supporting Solas Project at this year's forum.

Solas Project's vision is to see an Ireland where all children and young people truly know their self-worth and take full advantage of their potential.We recognise that, due to societal inequalities, all young people in Ireland do not have access to the same opportunities. As a result, many are prevented from reaching their full potential. We build longterm relationships with children and young people at risk of being marginalised by society, specifically through the education, employment and justice systems. We deliver a range of innovative and holistic interventions from childhood, through adolescence and into early adulthood. We seek to equip and empower young people to live life to the full and decide how they want to make a meaningful contribution to society. Alongside these supports, we advocate for societal change to tackle the inequalities that allow young people in Ireland to grow up at a disadvantage.

How will it work?

We have setup goals and points linked to these goals in our event management system. Once you complete a goal, these points will be tallied by the system to your point total. Through the attendee app you will be able to see how many points you have collected, what goals there are, which goals you have achieved and you will be able to see a top 10 leaderboard.

The height of the donation to the Solar Project would be determined by the accumulated points by our group:

0 - 50,000 points = Donation of $500

50,001 - 150,000 points = Donation of $1,000

Over 150,001 points = Donation of $2,500

Prior to the Global Forum

At the closing session of the Global Forum we will also have a special prize for the most engaged participant at the event.
